You Belong Here Scholarship

by Kathy Hereford, May 16, 2019

Thank you for your interest in the You Belong Here Scholarship.

The You Belong Here Scholarship for Fall 2019 has been designated to support the studies of eligible applicants.

We created this $1,000 award to assist college bound graduates of Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties.

The purpose of this scholarship is to award a student that has endured hardships and overcome obstacles to achieve the milestones of high school graduation and college.

Our scholarship is based on the idea that overcoming adversity builds strong character. We understand that overcoming adversity is one of the big challenges we have in life and we want to know how the applicant beat the odds.

This award is intended for those that have a “story“. Those that are overcoming life challenges. Those that despite challenges and set backs, are improving their lives through education.

The goal of the You Belong Here Scholarship is to help the student move beyond their story and into their new college life and home.

To apply for this award, interested individuals must submit a 1 page essay (12 pt. text, single spaced, no cover sheet, include full name & email address at top and sign and date bottom) on the following statement:
